Ours To Destroy the Band
Purpose
To share the sounds that we captured so that you can use them in your audio project...whatever that may be.
All sounds are shared under a creative commons attribution deed (read deed here.) If you use any of these sounds in your project attribution must be made to Ours To Destroy. That's the only rule.
Other than that, have fun and feel free to manipulate, change, create derivative works...whatever you want. If you do use something, let us know, we'd love to post links to derivative works or even host them here.
Types of Sounds
Mall, shopping, parking lot, car, noises around the home, animal sounds, nature sounds, bizarre music & audio in the public domain. You can find the categories and samples from the sound page.
On Dec 12, 2006 we added a new category: sounds around the home!
Audio Quality
All audio is recorded in stereo and encoded in mp3 format at 128 kbps. We had to compress it to offset the bandwidth cost. If you hear stuff you dig and require 16 bit (i.e. uncompressed) samples, we are more than willing to send out a CD with every sound sample you hear on this site with no compression whatsoever. This site is hosted free of charge by GoDaddy.com which is why you see that ad banner along the top and google ads.
